Internship Applications Tracker FAQ
Answers to the most common questions, taken from the template's own documentation.
What does the Internship Applications Tracker do?
It manages your whole internship search in one Notion dashboard. Six connected databases track applications, companies, contacts, interview rounds, documents and tasks, while the dashboard highlights what needs your attention this week.
What are the six databases in the internship tracker?
Applications is the core pipeline with one row per role. Companies has one row per employer. Contacts holds recruiters, referrals and alumni. Interview Rounds has one row per interview. Documents stores resume versions and cover letters. Tasks holds to-dos linked to applications. All six live inside the Source Databases page in the Backend section of the dashboard.
How do I see my response rate and interview rate?
In the Stats section, click the Calculate row beneath the Responded? or Interviewed? column and choose Percent checked. This works on every Notion plan.
What do the alert icons on an application mean?
โ ๏ธ means a deadline is approaching. ๐ means you applied 7 or more days ago and have had no response. ๐ means an offer is pending.
Why does a company show 0 in the # Apps column?
The application isn't linked to the company yet. Open the application and set its Company relation.
Why doesn't my application show in This Week's Focus?
That view only shows applications with a Next Action Date within the next 7 days that aren't Rejected, Withdrawn or Accepted. Check the date and the status.
Can I delete the Backend page?
No. Every dashboard view pulls from the databases on that page, so deleting them breaks the dashboard.
How do I add my own pipeline stages?
Edit the Status select options in the Applications database. Keep the color coding consistent so the dashboard stays easy to scan.
Can I use the tracker for full-time jobs instead of internships?
Yes, the structure works as-is. Rename the Stipend property to Salary and adjust the Duration options.
